Alex Muhia is the IT Admin and Data Protection Manager at EKC Advocates. With a strong foundation in IT security and privacy, Alex leads the institute’s efforts to maintain secure, compliant data practices. He brings expertise in IT infrastructure management, data protection, and software solutions tailored for the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining EKC Advocates, Alex served as the IT and Data Protection Manager in a leading law firm and a state corporation in Kenya, where he was instrumental in data management, network administration, and software development. His work has included key projects with state corporations in Kenya, adding to his strong foundation in data security and policy compliance.
Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Kisii University and a Software Development certification from Moringa School. His areas of specialization include IT security, privacy and data protection, intellectual property registration, regulatory compliance, and due diligence for property transactions. Alex is proficient in English, Swahili, and Spanish, supporting EKC’s diverse and inclusive environment
